He has been with the FOX 29 team since October 2014, where he serves as both an anchor and a feature reporter for “Good Day Philadelphia.” Before his time at FOX 29, Bob spent 13 years as the traffic anchor at CBS 3 in Philadelphia.

Kelly grew up in Northeast Philadelphia where they always decorate for Christmas, he created “A Very Kelly Christmas,” hitting the road during December and broadcasting LIVE from the front lawns of the best-decorated houses. He began his career as a radio disc jockey, working with Jerry Blavat, The Geator.
Furthermore, Kelly worked up and down the dial at Philly’s hottest radio stations until traffic became news and he joined KYW News Radio with Traffic on the 2s. A Northeast Philadelphia native, Kelly knows all the neighborhoods, the landmarks, and the best place to get a great jelly donut.
A graduate of North Catholic High School and Temple University, he is a local guy through and through. Additionally, in his Traffic Anchor role, he hosts the regular morning segments “Kelly’s Classroom,” “Breakfast with Bob,” and “Town Takeover,” all of which take him out into the community to connect with “Good Day Philadelphia” viewers. Moreover, he’s also co-hosted the Philadelphia St. Patrick’s Day Parade for more than 15 years.
He became the first Philadelphia traffic anchor to do his reports in front of the green screen. Animated and fun to watch with his highly popular phrases like Jammo, Two Jelly Donut Delay, and the Conshy Curve, Bob is now referred to by so many as “The Dean of Traffic.”Through the years, the Emmy Award-winning Traffic Anchor has entertained sports fans on the Jumbotron at the Eagles, Sixers games, Flyers, and with his popular segment “Tailgate Takeover,” before Eagles games.
